ABOUT OUR CENTRE
In 1992, His Eminence Khejok Tulku Rinpoche, a renowned Tibetan Buddhist Lama and a traditional Tibetan medical practitioner, founded the Australian Institute of Tibetan Medical Practices and asked Venerable Chris Roberts to teach Buddhism within the Institute.
In 1995, Rinpoche changed the direction of the Institute, moving away from Tibetan Medicine towards healing people’s everyday problems through Buddhism. Consequently, he changed the name of the Centre from the Australian Institute of Tibetan Medical Practices to the Australian Institute of Tibetan Healing Practices.
